It was the first regional licensee for renowned labels such as CBS, MCA and KAPP. It has held firm foothold in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong between the late 60's and early 70's. From then on, Life Records began to propel itself towards carving a niche in Chinese/ Mandarin recordings in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.

Today, Life Records reigns as the premier name in the Asian region for possessing the largest repertoire of Chinese/ Mandarin pop, classical, folk, traditional, drama, opera and children's songs.

Life records is also one of the largest distributors of Indonesian recordings of popular artistes like Hetty Koes Endang, Broery Marantika, Emillia Contessa, D'Lloyd, Endang S. Taurina, Rhoma Irama and many more.

Its distribution network of leading labels does not cover Malaysian alone but span across Asia to include Singapore, Brunei and licensees in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Mainland China and Thailand.

Locally, Life Records has a huge repertoire in Dangdut, Rock, Pop, Keroncong and traditional music and proudly owns a golden collection of over 4,000 evergreen albums.
